Whiskers n Tails began in 1995 when I started walking and boarding dogs for my local community's beloved four-legged friends. Today, we are one of the most experienced and highly recommended dog caring businesses in the Eastern Suburbs and the Southern Highlands.
In 2010, Doug, my husband, joined the business and we expanded our operations. We found and purchased the paw-fect property in the Southern Highlands to offer an enriched free-range dog boarding experience.
We named our property Merrigang, an aboriginal word meaning 'playground for dingos', which is the environment we wish to provide for our beloved guests.
We stand by the value of letting 'dogs be dogs'. Therefore, your dog will never be isolated, kept in a cage, or treated as if they were any less than part of the family.
27 years later, with our three children in tow, we are a crazy dog-loving family of five who have opened our home and devoted our lives to working with and caring for dogs.
As a family, we actively advocate, foster, rescue, and re-home dogs in need.
I also have had experience working as a vet nurse, I have been President of Animal Liberation N.S.W, and I am a respected lifelong member of the RSPCA and Animal Welfare League.
